Pinging AllPodcasts.com When You Publish A New Show

AllPodcasts.com now supports 'pings', both through a web form and automatically from clients like Radio.

If you just want to let us know when you've added a new podcast episode to your feed, you can go to our web form, enter your feed URL, and press Index.  We'll kick off a re-index of your feed, and the new data will be available in our index after a few moments.

If you want a more automated approach, tools like UserLand's Radio provide automation through XML-RPC.  To automatically call our 'Ping' service when you've added a new podcast episode to your feed, you'll need to use the following SCNS script/macro:

<%["xmlrpc://www.allpodcasts.com/Ping.aspx"].weblogUpdates.ping ("My Feed Name", "http://MyHost.com/MyRssFile.xml") %>

Naturally, you'll need to substitute your own details for the ones in italics.  Our index doesn't use the first parameter - we derive the feed name from the RSS file itself - but it's there to maintain compatibility with the ping service on Audio.Weblogs.com.
